Guide to Logo Use

The following guidelines communicate how the Board of Certification for Professional Organizers Certification Mark and Logo (the “Logo”) may be used. Follow this Guide to know all the specifics necessary to integrate the CPO® identity into your print and electronic media.

Only those who have successfully passed the CPO® certification requirements and examination are authorized to use the Logo. Use of the Logo indicates your acceptance of the terms in Section 9 of the Applicant Agreement executed upon applying to sit for the corresponding examination, that you have met the criteria to be a CPO®, and have maintained your certification obligations. If you do not maintain your certification, or your CPO® Applicant Agreement has expired or is terminated, you must immediately discontinue use of the Logo.

Use of the Logo to identifies an individual as having demonstrated the professional experience and requisite knowledge in the realm of organizing. Non-verified third parties wishing to use the CPO® or Certified Professional Organizer® designations in any way must obtain express written permission from BCPO®.

The logo instantly communicates a higher level of standard in the organizing industry. You may not use the Logo in any manner that is derogatory to or critical of the BCPO®, certification or the CPO® designation.

For maximum effectiveness, the logo should be thoughtfully integrated into your publications and your web site. Work with a graphic designer or desktop publisher to maximize the visual impact the CPO® logo has on your business card, web site, letterhead and brochures.

When you use the Logo, it should clearly indicate that you are independent from BCPO® and not an employee, and that BCPO® is not a part of your company name.

Your name must appear wherever the Logo is used and the Logo should not appear or be more prominent than your name, service name, trademark/service mark, logo or trade/company name.

Below are various files of the logo. It’s available in color and in grayscale on an opaque background, in CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, and EPS files.

How to Use the Logo

If you save the Logo to your web site server as "bcpo-logo.gif" in a folder named images you can use the following HTML code to link back to the BCPO® web site:

<a href="http://www.certifiedprofessionalorganizer.org" target="_blank"><img src="images/bcpo-logo.gif" border="0" alt="Click to visit the Board of Certification of Professional Organizers" width="100" /></a>

The HTML code for a text-only link is as follows:

<a href="http://www.certifiedprofessionalorganizer.org" target="_blank">Board of Certification of Professional Organizers</a>

Always use the phrase "Certified Professional Organizer®" wherever the CPO® Logo is used except where prohibited by size constraints (i.e. business cards).

The CPO® logo is to be used in its entirety and at a large enough size to be legible. Resolution is important, too. You may not combine the Logo with any other object, including, but not limited to: other logos, icons, words, graphics, photos, slogans, numbers, design features, symbols, or web site audio files (i.e., mixing another Logo with the CPO® Logo to create a variation).

These following size guidelines should be used:
