| CPO® Voice
We recently saw a terrific comment from CPO® Pam McCutcheon of The Clutter Cutter, "I loved taking the test, I loved the challenge, and I loved the feeling of validation in knowing that I know what I know! I highly recommend you take the test if you can." We then contacted Pam to hear in her own words how becoming a CPO® has affected her, her employees and her business. "I decided to sit for the exam because I wanted to stay on the leading edge within the industry. I also wanted the challenge of proving to myself that I understood the concepts on the test. I would encourage my employees to sit for the exam. Many of them are studying toward it; they just don't have enough hours in the field yet. I take pride in being able to call myself a CPO® and I love being able to master the challenge. I had a story written in a newspaper about the test and I mention the status in every advertising venue I have - TV, radio, any news stories. There isn't much competition in my area, so my CPO® status doesn't really matter to the bottom line dollar wise. But I believe it distinguishes my company as THE one to call for organizing." |
News and Announcements Have you heard the good news? BCPO® recently announced that there will now be 3 months each year open for Computer Based Testing (CBT): February, June and November. Testing sites are now popping up like spring flowers as our June CBT window approaches. BCPO® has been getting inquiries from all over the world from Professional Organizers and others interested in adding our industry designation to their credentials. Count yourself in for the next testing period in June. Start tracking hours towards the 1,500 required to qualify for the exam. If you do the math, it amounts to about 10 hours a week, and that’s not much for a professional like you! Maybe you’re not ready, maybe you feel you don’t need it yet, but as more and more organizers become certified you will want it! If you have already completed the registration process and wish to extend your "valid through" date, please contact Melanie Garrison at SMT. If you have difficulties finding a test site, or there are no available dates at your preferred site, contact our site manager, ISO-Quality Testing (IQT) at 1-866-773-1114. Our staff is SMT is ready willing and able to help you with any other registration issues you might encounter. So call your study group together now — why wait until November! |
