Certified Professional Organizer^® Exam Window Open

Dunedin, FL. The computer-based, 2-hour Certified Professional Organizer^® (CPO^®) exam can be scheduled any time November 1 through 30, 2008. The inaugural examination was given just over a year ago, and since then, the number of CPO^®s in the world has grown to over 275, representing the United States, Canada, Australia, Netherlands and Hong Kong. And it’s not just professional organizers who are obtaining this prestigious designation.

“As a certified records manager, getting certified as a Professional Organizer a year later has given the other side of my business more visibility in the records management profession. Listing the CPO^® after my name promotes the professional organizing industry as established and solid in the eyes of records managers,” says Karen M. Any professional who meets the minimum requirements may take the exam, which is widely available throughout the United States, Canada and other countries. For example, home and real estate stagers, senior move managers, records managers and those who work in related fields may qualify.

The Board of Certification for Professional Organizers (BCPO^®) is the self-governing, independent certifying body formed to recognize and raise industry standards, practices and ethics through independent certification. The CPO^® exam is given during designated times via computer at testing sites around the world.
